A research record, not medical advice: being listed here says nothing about whether a treatment works or whether it is right for you. Talk to a dermatologist about your own case.

Why it matters

The registry entry describes a randomised, placebo-controlled, double-blind study of an oral drug in 73 adults with moderate or severe disease at two Seoul sites, with completion expected in January 2027, and excludes patients who have taken an oral JAK inhibitor. NEXTGEN Bioscience has issued no release about it. The company's US patent names NXC736 as a functional antagonist of the S1PR1 and S1PR4 receptors and reports oral dosing in the standard mouse model of alopecia areata; that is the only public description of the molecule. Etrasimod, an oral S1P modulator also in this register, has been through a Phase 2 in the same disease.
