A research record, not medical advice: being listed here says nothing about whether a treatment works or whether it is right for you. Talk to a dermatologist about your own case.

Why it matters

Lilly already sells baricitinib for severe alopecia areata in the US, EU and Japan; LY4005130 is a different molecule from the same company in the same indication. The trial is a randomised, double-blind proof of concept in adults with severe disease, recruiting since 14 April 2026 in seven countries, with the drug given intravenously; a parallel Phase 2 in non-segmental vitiligo started the same day. No target, drug class or molecule type has been published, and this row does not guess.
