ABS-201

ABS-201 is in Phase 1/2 for androgenetic alopecia, developed by Absci.

An AI-designed antibody against the prolactin receptor, which its sponsor projects could be dosed a few times a year, in its first human trial since December 2025.

How it is meant to work

Absci designed ABS-201 computationally to block the prolactin receptor, the target HMI-115 reached first. The company's rationale is that blocking prolactin signalling shifts follicles into their growth phase, a route that does not touch DHT.

Why it matters

The second anti-prolactin-receptor antibody in the register, and the more visible: Absci is listed on Nasdaq and reports on a schedule. HEADLINE, a Phase 1/2a in Australia, dosed its first participants in December 2025. In June 2026 the company reported the single-dose part, in healthy volunteers, as well tolerated, with an estimated half-life of at least 65 days, which it says could support two or three injections over six months pending confirmation in longer follow-up. Interim proof-of-concept data are promised for the second half of 2026 and the full read for early 2027. No hair-growth result exists yet.
