Blocks the receptor that androgens (male hormones) use to shrink the follicle.
A research record, not medical advice: being listed here says nothing about whether a treatment works or whether it is right for you. Talk to a dermatologist about your own case.
How it is meant to work
Where a conventional antiandrogen occupies the receptor, a PROTAC tags it for the cell's own disposal machinery. In principle that gives a longer-lasting effect from less frequent dosing.
