A combined safety and early-efficacy study.
Silences a specific gene in the follicle using small RNA molecules.

How it is meant to work
Olix's cell-penetrating asymmetric siRNA is designed, by the company's description, to reduce androgen receptor expression in the scalp. Where finasteride lowers the hormone, this aims at the receptor that hears it; pyrilutamide and clascoterone, also in the register, block the same receptor with small molecules.
Why it matters
The Phase 1/2 in Australia has recruited since December 2025 under the substance code OLX72021. Korean trade press reported on 24 August 2026 that the last Phase 1b participant completed follow-up on 17 August and that Olix intends to start the Phase 2a, three doses against placebo, before the end of 2026. No numbers have been released; the row rests on the registry, the company's 2022 preclinical release and press reports.
